My Best Lunch at Harlan's

Sad news, I heard that the beloved Harlan's was moving away from IFC...=*(

Harlan's the French restaurant located in IFC.
I have always enjoyed their dinners, but this time was my first time there for lunch and my it was soooo good that I think it beat their dinner menu!

(We didn't get the appetizer pictures cos we were starving and just inhaled our food! LOL!)
***

I ordered this Baked sea-bass wrapped in these layers of thin flaky wrap! OMG
***

My sis ordered this spinach pie, and IT WAS SOOO GOOD!

Coffee was nice to wake us from our lunch white wine buzz haha
***

Followed by an incredibly fresh and light dessert that was just perfect!
It was all homemade and healthy! Egg white with lemon custard and raspberry sorbet and thin cookie. MMMmmm..

*...INDIA...*

In April, I had the opportunity to go and visit beautiful INDIA.
Unfortunately I was enjoying my trip SO MUCH I forgot to take pics of all the great food I was eating.

I did attend a wedding (which was a 4 day event!)

This is an example of the very vegetarian and spicy food the wedding was serving!
***

The weather was really hot, but at night it was just perfect. But to make you cool down, one of their Indian cool desserts was packed ice shavings drizzles in different flavored syrup!
It kind of reminds me of snow cones.. (Upside down!)
***

Indian tea was really nice and rich. This is a simple tea set with biscuits they serve guests!
***

Non-spicy curry fish with naan bread!
***

Diet Coke!
***

Traditional Indian sweets and snacks. The sides are flavored nuts and the middle is a very solid-type sweet cake.

Good After Chinese Dinner Sweets

The other day when we ate at a Chinese Hot Pot Restaurant, we were not expecting desserts after our meal. But Chinese people love their sweets too. And it's standard to always have fruit or some petit fours too!

Sweet Mango and Coconut glutinous roll and at the back are sesame and almond flavored jello.

THIS WAS MY FAV!!! The Mango Glutinous roll with coconut! YUM.

My Birthday! =)

Having a beautiful and memorable birthday cake is part of our tradition in our family. For my birthday this year, my sis surprised me with an AWESOME cake! It was a pink Hermes cake and it had accessories to go with it, all edible, and beautifully made! The flavor was (of course) CHOCOLATE! And it tasted DELICIOUS.

I had two cakes this year, the one below was also beautiful and REALLY melt-in-your-mouth GOOD. It was given by my friends and prepared at the restaurant of Aspasia in TST of the Deluxe Manor.

Of course it was as awesome (or even more) than my birthday cake from last year!
